Free Download PS4 exclusive Rime For Xbox One, PC

Rime is one of the many games that have managed to resurface in the past year after a lot of radio silence. Developed by Tequila Works, which is the studio behind 2012’s timed Xbox 360 exclusive Deadlight, it was originally pitched to Microsoft – and greenlit – as an Xbox Live Arcade game, just like the team’s previous title. There was also some talk of a potential Windows 8 exclusive port, but everything began to fall through as the Xbox One’s original plans for Arcade games took shape and prioritized games with multiplayer.

After being denied funding by Microsoft, Tequila Works began talks with Sony, and Rime was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive back in 2013. In early 2016 Tequila Works announced that they bought the rights to the game back from Sony and would release it the following year. Fast forward to today, and Rime’s been revealed a second time – this time as a multi-platform title, heading to the Xbox One once more.
The latest trailer comes courtesy of IGN, who will spend the rest of the month releasing new details and information about the game. You can watch it below.
In the words of its own developers, Rime is a single-player puzzle adventure. You’ll need to make use of everything around you to traverse the world around you after waking up on a mysterious island, using perspective, time, sound, and light to progress. It’s a very interesting premise, and the team at Tequila Works already proved that they’re able to make an excellent game with Deadlight. Combine that with beautiful audio and visuals, and you’ve got a game worth keeping your eye on.
Rime will release in May 2017 for the Xbox One, Windows, and more.
